 Our Philosophy

Wilson + Miller is a law firm in Little Rock, and we make the claim that we provide our clients with inspired solutions. That is a bold claim and one we take seriously. It requires some explanation.

Clients come to us to solve significant problems. Problems that matter. Problems that have a profound impact on themselves, their business, and their family. Our commitment to every client is to find solutions that work and continue to work. We are then able to communicate those solutions to our clients with uncommon clarity, free of lawyer jargon, and we are able to do this consistently. Here is why:

We Build Relationships

We nurture a deep, long-term relationship with every client that allows us to have a real understanding of their deepest needs as those needs grow or change.

The Best Talent

We hire the best talent available and foster a culture of excellence and innovation. We support that culture by constantly investing in the professional growth of every member of our team.

A Proven Process

We have imposed a disciplined, process-driven approach to problem solving that allows each practice group to effectively access the best efforts and best ideas of our entire team and the client’s other advisors free of hierarchical restraints.

The Wisdom of Crowds

This is a deceptively simple idea: groups of people are smarter than any single individual, no matter how brilliant. Groups are better at solving problems, preventing mistakes, fostering innovation, and coming to wise decisions. Our team believes in the power of this idea, and it’s reflected in the way we handle every client engagement.

This idea is explored in a fascinating book by New Yorker business columnist James Surowiecki. With boundless erudition and in delightfully clear prose, Surowiecki ranges across fields as diverse as popular culture, psychology, ant biology, behavioral economics, artificial intelligence, military history, and politics to show how this simple idea offers important lessons for how we live our lives, select our leaders, run our companies, and think about our world.

The Process of Disqualification

We have observed that professionals become comfortable with the solutions they commonly use. It’s a basic human instinct to gravitate to the familiar. We see this pattern in law, medicine, and other professions. That said, it doesn’t always produce the best results because there may be other options that, if considered, might yield more favorable outcomes. Our internal process requires us to systematically review a comprehensive list of every strategy that could have the potential to be useful in solving a client’s problem. In that review, our team is required to affirmatively conclude that a solution on the list is not appropriate for the client’s situation. We call this the Process of Disqualification. This Process of Disqualification is one of the reasons we say that we provide inspired solutions to our clients.

The way we work is unique, and we know it works because clients tell us frequently that our solutions are inspired. Perhaps so, but only because of the discipline and persistence that preceded the inspiration. The clients that engage us remain clients for a very long time. Over time, our clients come to understand that the inspired solutions we are able to consistently generate are the direct result of the unique way we work.

What The Red + Means

The red + is very important to us and what we believe in. The + reminds us that we must always add value to our clients.

We Are Trusted.
